The Nigerian stock market on Thursday advanced marginally as the All Share Index grew by 0.05%, closing at 98,169.30 points from the previous close of 98,121.30 points.
Investors gained N27 billion as the Market Capitalisation appreciated by 0.05% to close at N55.521 trillion from the previous close of N55.494 trillion.
An aggregate of 297 million units of shares were traded in 7,417 deals, valued at N6.5 billion.
The Market Breadth closed negative as 16 equities emerged as gainers against 24 equities that declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers
Transcorp Hotel led other gainers with 9.75% growth, closing at N96.50 from the previous close of N87.93
Livestock Feeds, TANTALIZER and Sunu Assurance among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.42%, 9.37% and 7.44% respectively.
Percentage Losers
Sterling Bank led other price decliners as it shed 9.69% of its share price to close at N3.82 from the previous close of N4.23.
CWG and International Insurance among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 9.57% and 9.30% respectively.
Volume Drivers
Zenith Bank traded about 48 million units of its shares in 577 deals, valued at N1.77 billion.
ACCESSCORP traded about 39.9 million units of its shares in 732 deals, valued at about N640 million.
TRANSCORP traded about 28.5 million units of its shares in 267 deals, valued at N397 million.
