Trading on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange last week closed on a bullish note as most of the high cap stocks grew their share prices. Investors thereby gained N1.13 trillion week to date.
The All Share Index and Market Capitalization grew by 3.40% to settle at 63,040.41 points and N34.326 trillion respectively.
An aggregate of 9.8 billion units of shares were traded in 54,478 deals, valued at N145.4 billion.
The market breadth closed positive as 78 stocks gained against 25 stocks that declined in their share prices.
TOP 10 GAINERS
JAPAULGOLD led other gainers in the course of last week with 58.57% growth, closing at N1.11 from the previous close of N0.70.
Consolidated Hallmark Insurance, CHAMS, OMATEK and VERITALS KAPITAL grew their share prices by 57.32%, 56.76%, 52.78% and 47.83% respectively.
Other top 10 gainers includes: ETRANZACT 45.89%, Transcorp Hotel 39.52%, Unity Bank 37.29%, ETERNA OIL 35.24% and FTN COCOA 33.47% respectively.
TOP 10 LOSERS
WAIC led other price decliners, shedding 26.51% of its share price to close at N0.61 from the previous close of N0.83.
TRIPPLEG, Ikeja Hotel, LASACO and Champion Breweries shed their share prices by 26.40%, 21.05%, 16.92% and 14.50% respectively.
Other price decliners includes: International Energy Insurance (10.34%), MULTIVERSE (9.87%), Secure Electronic Technology (6.06%), NGXGROUP (5.80%) and Nem Insurance (4.69%) respectively.
