Nigerian stock market on Thursday declined as 22 stocks led by SCOA shed weights
The All Share Index dropped by 0.09% to close at 54,184.34 points from the previous close of 54,232.34 points.
The Market Capitalisation declined by 0.09% to close at N29.518 trillion from the previous close of N29.544 trillion, thereby shedding N26 billion.
An aggregate of 292.6 million units of shares were traded in 4,408 deals, valued at N2.4 billion.
The Market Breadth closed negative as 17 equities emerged as gainers against 22 equities that declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers
MANSARD and LASACO led other gainers with 10.00% growth each to close at N2.09 and N1.21 from the previous close of 1.90 and N1.10
NAHCO, Ikeja Hotel and FTN Cocoa among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.88%, 8.20% and 7.69% respectively.
Percentage Losers
SCOA led other price decliners as it shed 10.00% of its share price to close at N0.90 from the previous close of N1.00.
UACN and Sunu Assurance among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 9.95% and 9.62% respectively.
Volume Drivers
Fidelity Bank traded about 79.7 million units of its shares in 109 deals, valued at N426.8 million.
TRANSCORP traded about 28.8 million units of its shares in 241 deals, valued at N39.9 million.
UBA traded about 26.8 million units of its shares in 328 deals, valued at N224 million.
