The Nigerian Stock Market on Monday closed on bearish note as The All Share Index declined by 0.25% to close at 47,436.45 points from the previous close of 47,554.34 points.
Investors lose N65 billion as the Market Capitalisation dropped by 0.25% to close at N25.837 trillion from the previous close of N25.902 trillion.
An aggregate of 279 million units were traded in 3,781 deals, valued at N1.56 billion.
The Market Breadth closed negative as 15 equities emerged as gainers against 17 that declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers
Prestige Assurance led the gainers with 9.30% growth to close at N0.47 and from the previous close of N0.43
Nem Insurance, COURTVILLE and THOMAS WYATT NIG. PLC above other gainers also grew their share prices by over 8.00%.
Percentage Losers
BETA GLASS led other price decliners as it shed 9.90% of its share price to close at N39.60 from the previous close of N43.95
MCNICHOLS, SCOA and Jaiz Bank among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 9.68%, 9.40% and 6.82% respectively
Volume Drivers
Jaiz Bank traded about 65 million units of its share in 62 deals, valued at N53.7 million.
UBA traded 22.9 million units of its shares in 160 deals, valued at about N167 million.
Fidelity Bank traded about 12 million units of its shares in 98 deals, valued at N50.9 million.
