Nigerian Bourse gains N96bn as NGXASI rises by 0.35%

The Nigerian stocks market on Monday closed higher as the All Share Index rose by 0.35% to settle at 53,086.46 points from the previous close of 52,908.24 points.

The Market Capitalisation was up by 0.35% to close at N28.619 trillion from the previous close of N28.523 trillion, thereby gaining N96 billion.

An aggregate of 755.6 million units of shares were traded in 4,297 deals, valued at N8.9 billion.

The Market Breadth closed positive as 19 equities appreciated in their share prices against 13 equities that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

CONOIL led other gainers with 9.97% growth to close at N32.00 from the previous close of N29.10.

PHARMADEKO, LEARNAFRICA and FTN COCOA among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.37%, 8.72% and 5.88% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Japaul Gold led price decliners’ table as it shed 6.25% of its share price to close at N0.30 from the previous close of N0.32.

ABC Transport, Unilever and AIICO among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 6.06%, 3.01% and 2.94% respectively.

Volume Drivers

FBNH traded about 610 million units of its shares in 163 deals, valued at about N6.8 billion.

Flour Mills traded about 23 million units of its shares in 121 deals, valued at N804 million.

Zenith Bank traded about 8.9 million units of its shares in 300 deals, valued at about N209 million.
