Bull on the Rampage as NSEASI Closed all green, Monday

The Nigerian stock market grew further in an all green session, closing higher in all the trading days in the year 2020 as the All Share Index on Monday rose by 0.74%, to close at 29,633.58 points away from the previous close of 29,415.39 points.

Market capitalisation soared by 0.74%, to close at N15.287 trillion away from the previous close of N15.175 trillion.

Volume of traded stocks closed at 348 million units, up by 23.96% away from the previous close of 280 million units.

The value of traded stocks also grew by 77.51%, closing at N8.5 billion from the previous close of N4.8 billion.

Total number of deals at the close of trade today was 5,377 appreciated 3.62% against the previous close of 5,189 deals on Friday.

Market Breadth

The market Breadth closed negative as 16 stocks gained while 21 stocks declined in their share prices.

 Percentage Gainers

MTNN led the gainers’ list with 10.00% growth, closing at N127.60 above the previous close of and 116.00.

NPF Microfinance, UACN, LASACO and GLAXOSMITH among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.68%, 7.80%, 7.41% and 6.60% respectively.

Percentage Losers

CADBURY, Transcorp Hotels and NEIMETH among other price decliners shed 9.95%, 9.18% and 8.93% respectively.

Volume Drivers

  • Zenith Bank traded about 39 million units of its shares in 456 deals, valued at about N861 million.
  • Access Bank traded about 63 million units of its shares in 450 deals, valued at N682 million.
  • MTNN traded about 12 million units of its shares in 271 deals, valued at N1.5 billion.
