Investors gain N22bn as NSEASI rose by 0.16%, Monday

Trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Monday closed on a positive note as the All Share Index rose by 0.16% to close at 27,035.78 points from the previous close of 26,991.42 points last week Friday.

The market capitalisation closed at N13.049 trillion, gaining N22 billion from the previous close of N13.027 trillion.

Aggregate volume of traded stocks closed at 230.65 million units, valued at N3.2 billion in 4,254 deals.

 

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed positive as 20 stocks gained against 16 that declined in their share prices.

 

Percentage Gainers

Law Union & Rocks Insurance with 10.00% growth led 19 other gainers to close at N0.66 from the previous close of N0.60.

Jaiz Bank, Presco, Neimeth, Cadbury and LASACO among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.52%, 9.39%, 8.93%, 8.89% and 8.70% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Okomu Oil and Cutix Plc among other price decliners shed their share prices by 9.73% and 9.52% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Zenith Bank traded about 42.34 million units of its shares in 689 deals, valued at N798.2 million.
