Investors gain N19bn as NSEASI rose by 0.14%

Trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Monday closed on a positive note as the All Share Index grew by 0.14% to close at 27,565.09 points from the previous close of 27,525.81 points last Friday.

 

Market capitalisation closed at N13.410 trillion, gaining N19 billion from the previous close of N13.391 trillion last Friday.

Aggregate volume of traded stocks closed at 111.52 million units, valued at N1.56 billion in 3,122 deals.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed positive as 22 stocks gained while 17 stocks declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Cement Company of Northern Nigeria (CCNN) led the gainers’ list, gaining 9.78% of its share price to close at N17.40 from the previous close of N15.85.

Cornerstone Insurance, UBA and Nestle among others also grew their share prices by 9.52%, 5.98% and 5.94% respectively.

Percentage Losers

UACN led the price decliners list, shedding 10% of its to close at N4.50 from the previous close of N5.00.

Champion Breweries and Africa Prudential Plc among other price decliners also shed 9.80% and 9.25% of their share prices respectively.

Volume Drivers

  • Zenith Bank traded about 16.149 million units of its shares in 327 deals, valued at N283.9 million.
