Forte Oil gains 10%, led 23 other stocks, Wednesday

The Nigerian Bourse on Wednesday reverses its gains from the previous trading session as the All Share Index declines marginally by 0.02% to close at 32,375.12 points from the previous close of 32,381.00 points on Tuesday

Market capitalisation declined by 0.03% to close at N11.819 trillion from the previous close of N11.822 trillion on Tuesday

Other market indicators declined as volume and value of traded stocks dropped by  29.45% and 33.17%, closing at 190.35 million units and N1.77 billion respectively.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed positive as 24 stocks gained while 13 stocks lost.

Percentage Gainers

Forte Oil led other percentage gainers, gaining 10% to close at N22 from the previous close of N20.

CCNN grew 9.73% to close at N24.8 from the previous close of N22.6

Regency Alliance and Sovereign Trust Insurance both grew 9.09% respectively among others on the gainers chart.

Percentage Losers

Axa Mansard Insurance tops the losers’ chart losing 9.65% of its share price to close at N2.06 from the previous close of N2.28

Capital Oil and PZ shed 8.0% and 7.41% respectively among others on the losers’ chart.

Volume Drivers

  • Zenith Bank traded about 24.17 million units of its shares in 258 deals, valued at about N500.25million
