NSEASI extends decline, closes 0.35% lower, Tuesday

The Nigerian bourse on Tuesday extends decline as the All Share Index dropped by 0.35% to close at 35,288.23 points as against the previous close of 35,399.28 points on Monday.

Market capitalisation closed at N12.883 trillion as against   the previous close of N12.924 trillion.

 

Volume of traded stocks appreciated by 2.54%, closing at 164.5 million units while value declined by 27.19%, closing at N1.6 billion.

Market Breadth

13 stocks gained while 33 stocks lost bringing the market breadth to a negative round off.

Percentage Gainers

Mutual Benefit Assurance led other percentage gainers, closing 10% above its previous close of N0.30 to close at N0.33

Custodian Investment, Livestock Feeds and consolidated Hallmark also gained 9.94%, 9.52% and 9.37% respectively.

Percentage Losers

ABC Transport and Union Diagnostics both shed 10% of their share prices closing at N0.36 and N0.27 respectively.

Eterna Oil and Northern Nigerian Flour Mills both shed 9.72% and UACN shed 9.64%

Volume Drivers

UBA traded about 26.87 million units of its shares in 147deals, valued at N250.66 million.

Guaranty Trust Bank traded 7.48 million units of its shares in 204 deals valued at N289.84million.
