Stock Market declines as NSEASI settles 0.90% lower, Tuesday

The Nigerian Bourse on Tuesday extends decline from the previous trading session as the All Share Index declines 0.90% to close at 37,605.12 points against 37,946.92 points of the last trading session.

Market capitalization dropped by 0.90% to settle at N13.622 trillion against N13.746 trillion of Monday, indicating a loss of N124 billion.

Volume of traded stocks declined by 2.96% and value grew by 42.38% to settle at 257.389 million units and N2.647 billion respectively.

 

Market Breadth

13 stocks closed positive against 30 that closed negative, bringing the market breadth to a negative round off.

Percentage Gainers

Prestige Assurance led other percentage gainers closing 9.43% above the previous close of N0.53 to settle at N0.58

Royal Exchange grew 9.09%, Red Star Express and Custodian gained 8.33% and 7.42% respectively of their share prices ahead of other stocks on the gainers’ chart

Percentage Losers

Jaiz Bank tops the losers’ chart losing 10.00% of its share price, while Omoluabi Mortgage Bank and Cornerstone Insurance shed 9.86% and 9.38% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Multiverse has the highest traded volume of the day, trading 100 million units of its shares.

Zenith Bank traded about 16.485 million units of its shares as in 397 deals, valued at about N403.277 million

Guaranty Trust Bank traded about 13 million units of its shares in 265 deals, valued at about N515 million
