Q1’19: Cement Company of Northern Nigeria’s revenue soared by 213%

Cement Company of Northern Nigeria (CCNN) in its first quarter report for the period ended March 31, 2019, recorded a significant growth of 213% in its revenue YoY. Revenue for the period under review closed at N16.89 billion compared to the previous close of N5.39 billion in Q1, 2018.

Profit before Tax (PBT) of the company jumped by 255.46% to close at N5.35 billion compared to the previous PBT of N1.50 billion in Q1’18.

Profit after Tax (PAT) also soared by 235.64%, closing at N3.64 billion compared to the previous PAT of N1.08 billion in first quarter of 2018.

The earnings per share (EPS) for the period under review is 28 kobo, down by  67.44% compared to the previous EPS of 86 kobo in the first quarter of 2018.

With reference to the share price of N17, the PE ratio of Cement Company of Northern Nigeria in Q1’19 stands at 60.71x with earnings yield of 1.65%.
