NSEASI extends gains, closes 0.18% higher, Friday

The Nigerian Bourse on Friday closed in green as the All Share Index grew by 0.18% to close at 32,540.17 points from the previous close of 32,480.89 points on Thursday.

Market capitalisation grew by 0.19% to close at N11.880 trillion from the previous close of N11.858 trillion thereby gaining N22 billion

Volume and value of traded stocks soared by 131.58% and 351.80%, closing at 523.4 million units and N10.58 billion respectively.

 

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed positive as 23 stocks gained while 15 stocks lost.

Percentage Gainers

Jaiz Bank led other percentage gainers, gaining 9.80% to close at N0.56 from the previous close of N0.51

Unity Bank and First Aluminium Nigeria Plc grew 9.09% and 8.82% ahead other stocks on the gainers’ list.

 

Percentage Losers

Axa Mansard tops the losers’ chart losing 9.71% of its share price to close at N1.86 from the previous close of N2.06

LASACO and Prestige Assurance shed 6.06% and 5.36% respectively among others on the losers’ chart.

Volume Drivers

  • Zenith Bank traded about 82.47 million units of its shares in 287 deals, valued at about N1.7 billion
