NSEASI dips further, closes 0.34% lower, Tuesday

The Nigerian Bourse on Tuesday close in red as the All Share Index declines further by 0.34% to close at 29,096.41 points against the previous close of 29,196.87 points on Monday.

Market capitalisation closed at N10.936 trillion, shedding N37 bn from the previous close N10.973 trillion.

Aggregate volume of traded stocks for the day closed at 430 million units, valued at N2.83 billion in 4512 deals.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed negative as 11 stocks gained against 32 stocks that lost.

Percentage Gainers

Beta Glass Plc with 10% growth led other gainers to close at N62.70 from the previous close of N57.

Courtville, Chams Plc and Consolidated Hallmark Insurance among others also grew their share prices by 8.33%, 8.16% and 7.41% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Dangote Flour, Ikeja Hotel and Cadbury among other price decliners shed 9.86%, 9.38% and 9.32% respectively.

 

Volume Drivers

  • Courtville traded about 106.57 million units of its shares in 139 deals valued at N26.86 million.
  • Japaul Oil traded about 61.23 million units of its shares in 263 deals valued at N21.32 million.
  • Access Bank traded about 53.69 million units of its shares in 349 deals valued at N378.3 million.
