NSEASI declines further, closes 0.15% lower

The Nigerian equities market on Wednesday extended its loses run as the All Share Index drops further by 0.15% to close at 29,772.72 points against the previous close of 29,818.80 points.

Market capitalisation also closed lower at N13.12o trillion, shedding N20 billion from the previous close of N13.140 trillion.

Aggregate volume of traded stocks closed at 1.2 billion units, valued at N67.8 billion in 3,441 deals.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed positive as 21 stocks gained while 19 stocks declined in their share prices.

 

Percentage Gainers

Forte Oil with 10.00% growth led 20 other gainers to close at N34.65 from the previous close of N31.50

NEM Insurance and THOMAS WAYY among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.87% and 9.68% respectively.

 

Percentage Losers

Prestige Assurance, PRESCO and Consolidated Hallmark Insurance ahead of other 16 price decliners shed their share prices by 9.09 each to close the day’s trading

Volume Drivers

Guaranty traded about 34 million units of its shares in 217 deals, valued at around N1 billion
