Nigerian stocks market dips further by 0.26%, Thursday

The Nigerian Bourse on Thursday closed on a negative note as the All Share Index dips further by 0.26% to close at 29,300.09 points from the previous close of 29,375.25 points.

Market capitalisation closed at N12.915 trillion, shedding N33 billion from the previous close of N12.948 trillion on Wednesday.

Aggregate volume of traded stocks for the day was 180.47 million units, valued at N2.077 billion in 3,962 deals.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed positive as 20 stocks gained while 16 stocks lost.

Percentage Gainers

Cutix Plc with 9.22% growth led other gainers to close at N1.54 from the previous close of N1.41.

Academy Press, Livestock Feeds and Learn Africa among other gainers also grew their share prices by 8.82%, 8.51% and 8.15% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Presco Plc led other price decliners, shedding 10% of its share price to close at N46.80 from the previous close of N52.00.

Sovereign Trust Insurance, Wapic Insurance and Japaul Oil among others also shed 8.70%, 8.51% and 8.00% of their respectively.

Volume Drivers

WAPCO traded about 40.96 million units of its shares in 298 deals, valued at N552.74 million.
