NSEASI dips further, closes 0.07% lower, Wednesday

The Nigerian equities market on Wednesday closed in red as the All Share Index declined marginally by 0.07% to close at 29,375.25 points from the previous close of 29,395.14 points on Tuesday.

Market capitalisation closed at N12.948 trillion, shedding N9 billion from the previous close of N12.957 trillion.

Aggregate volume of traded stocks for the day was 237.7 million units, valued at N1.98 billion in 4,113 deals.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed negative as 16 stocks gained while 23 stocks lost.

Percentage Gainers

BOC Gases Plc with 9.93% growth led other gainers to close at N4.54 from the previous close of N4.13.

Academy Press, Wapic Insurance, Japaul Oil and Oando  among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.68%, 9.30%, 8.70% and 8.22% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Morrison Industries Plc led other price decliners, shedding 10% of its share price to close at N0.54 from the previous close of N0.60.

Fidson, Mobil and Mutual Benefit Assurance among others also shed 9.90%, 9.70% and 9.09% of their respectively.

Volume Drivers

Zenith Bank traded about 28.19 million units of its shares in 477 deals, valued at N541 million.
