Nigerian stock market rebounds as it gains N133bn, Wednesday

Trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Wednesday closed on a positive note as the All Share Index rose by 1% to close at 27,681.61 points from the previous close of 27,407.04 points on Tuesday.

Market Capitalisation closed at N13.475 trillion, gaining N133 billion away from the previous close of N13.342 trillion on Tuesday.

Aggregate volume of traded stocks closed at 379.51 million units, valued at N5.35 billion in 3,923 deals.

Market Breadth

Market Breadth closed positive as 24 stocks gained while 13 declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Cutix Plc and Ecobank both led other gainers with 10% growth to close at N1.54 and N8.8 respectively.

University Press and Wapic Insurance among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.52%, and 8.82% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Champions Breweries, RT Briscoe and LASACO among other price decliners shed their share prices by 8.80% and 6.90% and 6.67% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Guaranty Trust Bank traded about 98.4 million units of its shares in 247 deals, valued at N2.8 billion.
