Nigerian equities market dips further, closes 0.03% lower

Trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Friday closed in red as the All Share Index dropped further by 0.03% to close at 26,448.62 points against the previous close of 26,456.29 points on Thursday.

Market Capitalisation closed at N12.875 trillion, shedding N4 billion from the previous close of N12.879 trillion on Thursday.

Aggregate volume of traded stocks closed at 310.56 million units, valued at N4.999 billion in 2,725 deals.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed negative as 9 stocks gained while 19 stocks declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Consolidated Hallmark Insurance led the gainers’ list with 10% growth, closing at N0.33 from the previous close of N0.30.

Custodian Investment and AIICO Insurance among others also grew their share prices by 9.73% and 3.13% respectively.

Percentage Losers

UAC Properties led the losers chart, shedding 9.91% of its share price to close at N1.00 from the previous close of N 1.11.

PZ and Learn Africa both shed 9.76% of their share prices respectively while Vitafoam shed 9.74% of its share price.

Volume Drivers

Guaranty Trust Bank traded about 75.2 million units of its shares in 377 deals, valued at N1.98 billion.
