Nigerian Bourse gains N76 billion, closes 0.68% higher, Tuesday

The Nigerian Bourse on Tuesday closed in green as the All Share Index grew by 0.68% to close at 31,007.25 points from the previous close of 30,798.76 points on Monday

Market Capitalisation grew by 0.68% to close at N11.320 trillion against the previous close of N11.244 trillion, thereby gaining N76 billion.

Volume and value of shares traded declined by 20.50% and 22.24%, closing at 198.5 million units and N2.1 billion respectively.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed positive as 24 stocks gained against 14 stocks that lost.

Percentage Gainers

Mansard with 9.89% growth tops the percentage gainers’ chart, closing at N2 against the previous close of N1.82

Diamond Bank, University Press and UBA grew 9.86%, 7.5% and 6.67% respectively among others on the gainers chart.

Percentage Losers

Linkage Assurance tops the losers’ chart, shedding 9.68% of its share price to close at N0.56 against the previous close of N0.62

Veritas Kapital shed 9.09%, May & Baker and Mutual Benefit both shed 8% of their share prices respectively among others on the losers’ chart.

Volume Drivers

  • FBNH traded about 63.92 million units of its shares in 266 deals, valued at about N479.3 million.
