Nigerian Bourse dips further, closes 0.59% lower

The Nigerian equities market on Wednesday closed in red as the All Share Index declines further by 0.59% to close at 29,898.31 points against the previous close of 30,076.00 points on Tuesday.

The market capitalisation closed at N11.236 trillion, shedding N67 billion from the previous close of N11.303 trillion.

Aggregate volume and value of traded stocks closed at 304.86 million units and N2.63 billion in 3,902 deals.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed positive as 26 stocks gained while 14 stocks lost.

Percentage Gainers

Dangote Flour, BOC GAS and Fidson led other gainers growing their share prices by 9.79%, 9.76% and 9.64% respectively.

 

Percentage Losers

Conoil,International Breweries and AG Leventis among other price decliners shed 9.57%, 8.70% and 7.4% of their share prices respectively.

Volume Drivers

  • Zenith Bank about 25.77 million units of its shares in 371 deals, valued at N543.57 million.
