Market dips further as NSEASI closes lower by 0.29%

Figures obtained from the Nigerian Stock Exchange for listed equities at the close of market on Tuesday, 13th of April 2021, indicate that the equity market closed the day down by 0.29%. The All Share Index closed at 38,601.83 points against the previous close of 38,712.55 points.

An aggregate of 208.8 million units of shares were traded in in 4,003 deals valued at N2.909 billion

The market breadth closed negative as 15 equities emerged on the gainers list while 18 equities declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Japaul Gold led other gainers with 8.7% growth to close at N0.75 from the previous close of N0.69.

NAHCO and Sterling Bank among other gainers also both grew their share prices by 7.39% and 7.14% respectively.

Percentage losers

Guinness led other price decliners as it sheds 9.91% of its share price to close at N24.1 from the previous close of N26.75.

Triple G and NCR Nigeria Plc among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 9.72% and 9.68% respectively.

Volume Drivers

  • Fidelity Bank traded about 38.56 million units of its shares in 195 deals, valued at N96.177 million.
  • Guaranty Trust Bank traded about 32.83 million units of its shares in 485 deals, valued at N951.3 million.
  • FBN Holdings Plc traded about 16.86 million units of its shares in 151 deals, valued at N123.92 million.
