Forte Oil led other stocks despite market decline of 0.60%, Tuesday

Trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Tuesday, closed negative as the All Share Index dropped by 0.60% to close at 37,421.01 points against 37,647.93 points of the previous trading session.

Market capitalisation closed at N13.556 trillion as against the previous close of 13.638 trillion, shedding about N82 billion.

Volume and value of traded stocks appreciated by 37.40% and 88.86%, closing at 213.201 million units and N3.76 billion respectively.

Market Breadth

12 stocks closed positive against 27 that lost bringing the market breadth to a negative round off.

Percentage Gainers

Forte Oil led other percentage gainers closing 9.94% above the previous close of N27.15 to settle at N29.85

Custodian, Unity Bank, Regency Alliance Insurance and Jaiz Bank grew 9.40%, 8.91%, 8.70% and 7.94% respectively ahead other stocks on the gainers’ chart.

Percentage Losers

Mutual Benefit and Multiverse top the losers’ chart, both losing 9.09% of their share prices; while Mansard and Initiate Plc shed 8.93% and 8.82% respectively.

Volume Drivers

The most actively traded stock of the day is Zenith Bank, trading about 39.93million units of its shares, valued at about N965 million in 363 deals.
