Continental Reinsurance voluntarily delists from NSE

Continental Reinsurance Plc has voluntarily delisted its entire Issued Share Capital from the daily official list of the Nigerian Stock Exchange

In a statement on the website of the Nigerian Stock Exchange signed by the Head of Listings Regulation Department, Godstime Iwenekhai, the market was notified of the full suspension placed on the shares of Continental Reinsurance Plc  to prevent trading in the shares of the Company beyond the Effective Date of the Scheme of Arrangement by which CRe African Investments Limited (CRe Investments) will acquire all the shares of CRe Nigeria. The notification was actually contained in market bulletin of 28 November 2019.

 

Following the conclusion of the above referenced Scheme of Arrangement, and sequel to the approval of the Company’s application to delist its entire issued share capital from the Nigerian Stock Exchange, please be informed that the entire 10,372,744,312 ordinary shares of Continental Reinsurance Plc was on Friday, 17 January 2020, delisted from the Daily Official List of The Nigerian Stock Exchange.
